I’m straight and cis. this shit doesn’t offend me. you know why? cuz straight/cis people aren’t getting fucking KILLED just for being straight and cis.
Non-binary, trans and queer people are attacked, injured and in some places KILLED just for existing. All the “die cis scum” “cishet go to hell” stuff is a direct response to the atrocities that queer people face.
it’s also a response to the fact that most straight and cis people on this site would rather put THEIR own feelings over the feelings and safety of queer people.
if you’re straight and cis and you really can’t deal with mean “cishet” posts, you can just log off tumblr and go out into the real world. queer people can’t escape the oppression that they face no matter where they go or what they do. can you really blame them for being angry? especially when so-called allies would rather talk about themselves and their feelings rather than fixing the oppressive system that murders queer people.
